What makes these 2 so great in the morning???? Personally I can't stand them.... their topics are stupid, lame, and almost like they throw the show together 5 minutes before going on the air. The other day they were talking about department store smells??? WTF???? and tipping in vegas???? how about talking about the traffic in vegas, the crime, the unemployment rate in this SHOW ME THE MONEY town, DMV, stuff that the locals who listen would care about.

Mercedes sounds so boring, looks like she has a face for radio, and I feel for the guy who is married to her.

And, Mark sounds like he is just their for the paycheck, which I can't beleive these 2 goofs get paid so much.

Mix plays really good music, but the jock talk sucks. and their nite person sucks, sometimes the chick can't even complete a segue without F*&%in up the bit.

Now, I know Las Vegas is not a MAJOR market city, but most of the jocks in this town have had some experience elsewhere in the biz....

Again, this is just my opinion. Thanks, I'll continue listening to KOMP radio, where they have strippers on to entertain me and others here in vegas.
 
I don't like her accent...she sounds like someone who works at the Burger King Drive through window..but if you say anything bad about her --your a latina-bashing racist. Las Vegas has low levels of college educated people...the show matches that demo...does she think WMD was found in Iraq?
 
The women in their target demo enjoy those fluff topics. Young adult women don't want to listen to or discuss the more serious topics that interest you (and me.) They prefer chick talk and M&M do it as well as anyone in town.

I would say they are worth the money, they have nearly twice the share as their closet English language competitor. There is just as big of a ratings gap between M&M and their closest competitor as there is between #2 and not showing up at all!

As long as KMXB keeps M&M and does not get a CHR/Pop competitor they will stay dominant for a long time to come.
 
Hey "Only1deejayman", you seem to be in the minority. Mark and Mercedes have been #1 English Speaking in the P25-54 demo (6a-10a Mon-Fri) for the past 5 books.

I agree that KOMP is a great station, but for the past 5 books in the same demo (P25-54) their morning show has ranked: #6, #9, #3, #4 and #7.

Knowing that the P25-54 demo is the most desirable demo for advertisers and KMXB is the top billing station in the market, it seems like M&M would be worth the money.

Just a thought.
 
I think she looks pretty, I don't think she has a "face for radio," she just sounds funny, let her co-host with piolin or the genio.

I'm really shocked. M&M sound pretty good. They are one of my fav. morning shows. If you want a bad morning show listen to Reitmann & Mueller when they were on WKTI in Milwaukee. I can't believe they stayed on as long as they did. A bunch of old fogeys talking about childhood memories and such - BORING! M&M rule!
