I would expect this station will no longer be Classic Rock. Between the Fox,I95, and WKIT, there isn't the need for a fourth station that plays classic rock oriented music. Here's what I would expect:
1.A "local" station for Downeast Maine. Devoted to covering the region. When Mark owned Kiss, he had excellent news coverage, was very community minded, and promtionally active. I would expect the same this time around. Finally, advertisers in Ellsworth, MDI, and downeast will have a "local" station to buy time on. And having run an agency in Ellsworth, he has plenty of connections already with the local business owners.
2. I would expect Mark to be back on the air doing the morning show like he did for many years on Kiss. From a budgetary standpoint, I don't think he really has a choice. He certainly won't be bringing some syndicated fare at least in AM drive.
3. Musically....either Country to take on Lucky 99 which is one of the poor stepchilds in the Clear Channel cluster, or a Hot A/C..brighter than Kiss and 92.9. This station shouldn't be concerned with Bangor ratings. There's no way I see this station playing oldies. Again, the focus is on Downeast.
