Mark Richards Out at Kicks

RoddyFreeman said:
I just read on All Access that 10-year PD Mark Richards has left Kicks 101-5. Maybe he doesn't like Volkswagens.

So exactly what does this mean Roddy? All oldies??? LOL........ ::)..

The demise of a once proud property continues today with the departure of PD Mark Richards from KICKS 101.5. Mark is one helluva programmer and the few of a dying breed that still believed in live bodies on the air. For all that worked with and for him he will be missed.

I think Mark would say he's surprised he made it as long as he did with them. When O'Malley was moved out, you knew this was coming.

That's what I liked about Mark Richards,he believed in live and local radio, even at night. CMT radio with Cody Alan is crap.

Yeah, Cody Alan is one of those guys who always wears a cap so you can't tell if he's bald or not.

I think O'Malley is still with Cumulus, they must have sent him to another market,a company lke that you go where they tell you too.

O'Malley is co-heading up a new division at Cumulus Corporate in the Terminus building. Cox TV has a similar division at Cox Media Group headquarters on Peachtree-Dunwoody Road.

Along with former WXIA-TV GM Bob Walker, O'Malley will be approaching big companies around the country to pitch multi-market buys including radio and digital.
