Mark Stevens tragedy

I'd heard a piece of something on 1360 last week about a tragedy involving Mark Stevens; I put a note on the Houston board and here's what I got:

>>Very sad news...Mark's daughter passed away in her sleep early last week. She lived in the Dallas area and was in her early 40's. The funeral was Friday.

Thoughts and prayers go out to Mark and family.

Re: More info

Kim Stevens, 43, passed away suddenly Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2005, in Fort Worth.
Memorial service: 3:30 p.m. Friday in Greenwood Chapel.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Dalmation Rescue of North Texas, Box 866-081, Plano, Texas 75086.

From legacy.com:

Kim was born Dec. 12, 1961, in Rock Island, Ill. She was a longtime resident of Fort Worth.

Always a smile, never a frown. Always a hand when someone was down. Happiness you gave to everyone you knew. No better thing could anyone do. Your presence brought joy to everyone's heart. Laughter and cheerfulness right from the start. God gave us a gift; then took it away. But your beautiful memory is here to stay. The blow was hard, the shock was severe. We'd little thought that your death was so near. And only those who have lost can tell. The pain of parting without a farewell.

Survivors: Her devoted companion of 20 years, Mary Kay Winchell; mother, Margaret Goodman and husband, Gerry; father, Mark Stevens and wife, Melissa, of Houston; brothers, Kraig Eggspuehler and wife, Gwen, and Kris Eggspuehler and wife, Bonnel; sister, Kathi Cushing and husband, Frank, of Austin, and a host of nieces, nephews and longtime friends.
Published in the Star-Telegram from 8/26/2005 - 8/28/2005.

And other notes on www.stevensandcleverley.com. For those who may not know or just forgot, this is Mark Stevens of KEGL's and KLOL's "Stevens and Pruitt" and the former "Mark E. Baby" on KFJZ. Email Mark with condolences at [email protected]?subject=Condolences .
