Hope this helps!!!

I worked with the same "Mark Thomas" at WBAX in Wilkes-Barre in 1972! Yikes I'm getting old. I also remember visiting him at WIBG. The last I heard he went into the Shopping Center business. If Mark should read this, send old Ken Voight an email at [email protected]

This is a very old post, but I feel I need to at least update the original posters as I found this in an old google search.

I am Mark Thomas' son (his last name was Rimple, actually). Sadly, my father died in 1997 of complications from diabetes and arteriosclerosis. My son, his first grandson, was born a month before he died. I am one of his twin sons, (Ken) who, with my brother Mark, have a total of six of his grandchildren. His partner, Lynne Fein, died about four years ago.

After he left WPEN he did some work in various radio stations as a consultant and part-time manager, and then fell on hard times when the industry changed. I know he loved working in radio, and I used to hang around WPEN and WMGK a lot, knew Kim Martin and a number of other DJs he worked with when I was a kid.

He got me hooked on radio and recording, and I'm now doing podcasting on computer-based equipment as well as other media as part of my job at a computer software consulting firm.

He didn't go into the shopping center business, I suspect that is another person. One interesting job he held around 1977 or so was the manager of Penn Square in Reading, PA. He used to start and shut down the fountains... He also had a radio program in Reading as the "Night Mayor" and used to tell us really funny stories about how people would call upset and (in the best P.A. Dutch accent he could muster) yell "Night Mayaahh! Night Mayaaahh!".

He used to really really crack us up. I really miss him.
