Mark Thompson's new role at KFI

Too bad I was hoping we heard the last of that dude. I don't see what he brings to the show. Maybe it is the limousine liberal perspective. Time to turn the dial as I tire of his tales of poker with his rich celebrity pals, tireless admonishments against driving gas guzzlers, and patronizing Marineworld, etc.....

Next time I see him getting into or out of a private jet I am going to take a pic and post it here.

I'll remember that the next time I hear Rush Limbaugh drone on and on about his "mansion" and golfing with his rich celebrity pals.

Limbaugh is an unabashed capitalist, who openly flaunts his wealth and the things it allows him to acquire. I don't have a problem with that as long as you own it.

That is different from a dude who constantly lecturing the public about how he (and we should) save the whale, dogs and environment. If I too could afford a 6,000 foot mansion on the westside, I wouldn't lecture the listeners about reducing their carbon footprint. I guess if you live a phoney lifestyle there isn't a big leap from wearing a toupee to depicting oneself as an environmental champion while secretly leading the highlife of a wealthy natural resource glutton.

You seem to have some stereotypical view of people that they can't be in favor of the environment and also be rich. That would be news to a lot of people, including Al Gore, Bill Clinton, and a bunch of other folks. If you live in LA, you should know a lot about phonies and rich environmentalists.

BTW, KFI is not all that conservative. So he should fit right in.

Maybe the whole musical chairs recently was simply to unload Elizabeth Espinosa from the KFI airwaves?
She's a respectable journalist and she'll move on to much better things but she simply was a non fit on KFI.

T&E was a borefest and the pair didn't click well together but most especially with listeners.
As much as I hated the move, Shannon Farren and Hoffman work well together and LA newbie Libby Denkmann is settling in with J&K (though, she's not as feisty as Shannon as of yet, but that may come with time)
Libby and Shannon sound exactly the same when reading the news.

It was a good rearrangement on the whole even though I'll miss "Sharon Ferrin" on J&K.

I loved Shannon on J&K. (I haven't heard her with Hoffman so I can't comment.) But I was disappointed with her Sunday morning show. It wasn't terrible ... just dull.

In contrast, I thought Libby Denkmann hosting the Sunday show this past week did a better job. She seemed more animated and didn't rely so much on reading long news stories, making them even longer by inserting comments every other sentence. The show's pace with Shannon wasn't good.

Also I'll bet casual J&K listeners may not even notice the change. I wonder if Shannon might have left the nest too soon.

And I love exposing hypocrites of all stripes every chance I get.

Espinoza has the Sunday am gig at KFI
