A smarter person than me (my wife) advises that Mark has been doing weekends at WBAP for a few months. :-[

Thanks, Rick. Karin now advises that, for embarassing her, I will be sleeping in the garage tonight!rhadley said:Gary Mack said:Gary Mack said:Just heard him a few minutes ago! Was this day one, or do I need to pay closer attention?

Gary,
Your bride is incorrect. Mark was in for training last weekend and anchored just one cast. It was the first time he anchored on WBAP. He was in for more training today.
Thanks.

KPLX & it's then sister station KLIF (Talkradio 1190) used to do outstanding severe weather coverage as well, right up there with 1080. This was in the mid 1980's.MikeShannon914 said:(Yeah, KPLX actually did newscasts, MANY moons ago.)

Who cares about WBAP, they should've never been on 96.7. I'm still upset that Platinum went away.
I should've left the names of Mark Watkins & John Pendolino (hope I spelled his name right) on this, dfaulkner said:KPLX & it's then sister station KLIF (Talkradio 1190) used to do outstanding severe weather coverage as well, right up there with 1080. You might as well get over it. Platinum is gone and isn't coming back. Everybody here has had stations they liked that changed formats, but we don't hold on to grudges. It's the nature of the business.
