Markets that DO NOT have ESPN Radio?

I can think of one, and i'm living in the market....Des Moines. Are there other markets (medium to large size) that don't have a full time ESPN affilate?

A local sports station here carries ESPN's coverage of the BCS, World Series and has carried the NBA Finals when programming allows.

DSM used to have a full time ESPN station, however, it the station went dark right before the Super Bowl this past February and to this day is still off the air. If something doesn't change before football, satellite is going to be my only option.

Des Moines at one time had 4 sports radio stations. One went off the air because it was buying the airtime from Saga, another went off the air because of local ownership issues; management defaulted on several million dollars in loans. The sole survivor is owned by CC and carries Fox Sports and Rome (gag).

Boston (for now) does not, Philadelphia does not, and im not sure if KNBR in San Francisco counts since it only airs it overnights/weekends

WMC-AM Memphis dumped ESPN for Fox Sports a while back. I think Memphis is ESPN-less for now.<P ID="signature">______________

what else would the robot hosts have to talk about besides stupid polls and the ESPYS? Read Phil Musnick's NY Post column today(Friday). The only guy with the balls to call out ESPN for being the frauds they are. Most media hacks don't take shots because they hope one day they'll be screaming in a little box on TV like the rest of the sell-out writers in America. Even that fraud Jim Rome doesn't call out ESPN because he's in their back pocket for giving him that god-awful TV show.

Cant you get WMVP out of Chicago? Try AM 1000, it's a 50,000 watt blow torch, I know it comes in well as far west as Dubuke. If not get a sattelite or listen to the feed on the net, but quite frankly, you aren't missing anything.

Every now and then I can get WMVP in the car. Yeah, I know i'm not missing anything right now, but football is right around the corner and that's when ESPN radio shines.

I have thought about going the Sirius route.

Dothan, Ala. also doesn't have an ESPN Radio affiliate. Neither does Savannah, Ga. In fact, the closest ESPN affiliate to Savannah is WFXH-1130 in nearby Hilton Head Island, S.C. However, the signal is very weak, especially at night.

920 out of Trenton, NJ claims to cover Philadelphia:

I've never been there to see how good the signal actually is though.
