Marky B ???

Where has Marky B been? Haven't heard him on D & Z in the mornings in a week or two. Did he get the axe......again?

What a shame...

I don't know Mr. B personally. But, his sardonic delivery, ability to write, and to use sound on sports was extremely good. Clearly, a big talent in that fairly narrow field.

Another reason to bypass 98, I guess.

I agree. About a ten or fifteen years ago, I used to listen to Marky when he did sports updates during Don Imus on WREC. He was actually really good then. He was performing straight stick under his real name. He covered many types of sports and always promoted local teams. He sounded educated back then. His first days with D&Z on 103 were funny. His act seems too repetitive and annoying these days. He needs to blend in some seriousness with the humor.

The problem was he kept telling the same joke over ang over again. It was funny for awhile but got old quickly. Then again, I should probably just shut up, I rarely listen to 98.1 anymore. I can't take all the new rock they play and you want to talk about a repetitive playlist!

I'm actually surprised he's settled for Memphis as long as he has. Heck, he could've gone to Nashville and done well. I think, anyway.
