Marry Me by Train is awful!

Just when I thought you couldn't get much worse than "Hey, Soul Sister" for a year, now I am treated to Train whining through "Marry Me." What is the fascination the AC format has with this group? HSS has been burned to a crisp and just doesn't go away (I know this format is slow to change, but it's insane how long Hey Soul Sister has hung around, and in the top 5....it's been on the chart 60 weeks), now there's another one by these people that's even worse! Anybody that thinks there aren't sleepy AC songs still being recorded needs to listen to this one.

There is much better in terms of new music, especially OneRepublic's "Secrets" and Plain White T's "Rhythm of Love."

Have you heard the two remixes though? (especially the Diamong Ring Mix?) I don't think there are many stations playing the album version

Also, it's selling a lot better than If It's Love did

I guess I dislike it so because this group has already dominated over a year with a not-so-great (IMO) song, now comes another one for stations to obsess over. We need a break from Train.....there is even a whole website dedicated to the overexposure of "Hey, Soul Sister!"

Yeah, that's why you're calling it "sleepy" (it's the album version with no drums or instrumentation)

Almost all stations either play the First Dance Mix (with drums added in), or the Diamond Ring Mix (with strumming guitars, keyboards, drums, etc.)

I'm still not a big fan of this song either, though

It doesn't bother me that much but I can see it burning like Bob Carlisle's "Butterfly Kisses."

It'll be another standard for wedding receptions.
