MARSHALL MAGEE

Gulf Coast Broadcasting Names
Magee VP/GM

Clear Channel/Jackson, MS Senior Account Manager Marshall Magee takes over VP/GM duties at Gulf Coast Broadcasting's Gulf Shores-Orange Beach, AL three-station cluster: Hot AC WCSN, and Adult Standards simulcast WABF-AM/Fairhope, AL & WBCA-AM/Bay Minette, AL.

Magee began his new role on July 10, replacing former GM Chuck Redden, who is now Gulf Coast Broadcasting's Senior Account Representative.

Good for Marshall! I never met him, but my impression of him is very positive. He's been around here for quite a while and I hope his new endeavor serves him well.

Marshall is a first rate guy. I knew him when he was GM of WXXX 1310 Hattiesburg and later at WJDX. Never got the chance to work for him, but many of my friends did. A real class act.

Gee. I didn't know Marsh is still around. Worked for him briefly. Good guy, great pipes. Gotta be in his mid to late 60s by now.

I worked with Marshall at WXXX back in the 70's. I live in Jackson now and did see him from time to time. By the way, he is 59. He was only in his mid 20's when he was GM of WXXX.

> By the way, he is 59.

I suspect you know better than I do. My math, tracing back to when I worked with him in beautiful Ridgeland, would have put him at about 60. At least I was in the ballpark.

But, good for Marshall -- he got OUT of Jackson!

I worked with Marshall when we were both brand new to radio at WJDX back in '67. He was a great guy then and, from what I heard over the years since, has been a great administrator and broadcast professional all these years. I'm glad to run across his name once more. I always thought the world of him.

Maybe they have come up with the VP/GM version of "voice tracking", and Marshall can manage the Gulf Coast by simply dropping in a few "yes-es" and "nos" by just hearing the first and last 15 seconds of a question posed by one of the department heads, while still maintaining his spot in J-city.

Hey R.G. you may be dizzy from watching all those "Archies" Records go round.....
Opps,.....that should read Big Brah, "Uncle Wal-Tee!"

Virtual GM,.....Funny Stuff!
