Martha Martinez is out temporarily...

Martha Martinez, my co-anchor on the KFNC morning show, is battling cancer and is in our thoughts and prayers daily. I (we) miss her very much, and I would appreciate it if any and all of you would post your encouraging thoughts and I will make sure she's aware of them. It could bring a quicker recovery.

Incidentally, people ARE listening. The KFNC morning show, along with afternoons, outperforms the station as a whole in cume, in the general territory with KHJZ, KILT-AM, KLOL(!) and KROI-FM. We've been on the air just six months.

And as always, I welcome your critiques on my performance, either here or at [email protected].

OH WOW! I didn't know that.
Share my wishes for a quick recovery!
I looked on the KFNC website to see if there wany news and didn't see anything. I did see Martha started a blog with nothing posted.

That's great to hear about the ratings. When I'm out and without my XM reciever, I tune in. News in the mornings, humor in the afternoon, High Fidelity on Sunday's.<P ID="signature">______________

I am REALLY sorry to hear this. Martha is a great person and a pleasure to work with. I hope she makes a full recovery. This is really sad news. Glad the ratings were good, but health is much more important.

Mike:

I hope Martha will be back very soon and will continue to be your colleague for many years to come.
