Martin Mull Clue, Fernwood 2 Nite Roseanne actor & comic dies at 80

Martin Mull's big screen debut was in the movie FM. The movie was not very good, but his character was pretty well played, being a vain and libidinous DJ. Martin had probably met a few of those types during his musical career!

If they put as much thought into the movie as they did to the soundtrack, it would have been Oscar worthy. RIP Martin

Sorry to hear of his passing. I remember the quirky characters he played on Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman and Fernwood 2 Nite. The last show I saw him on in a recurring role was, ironically, Not Dead Yet.

Sad to hear this. I remember him fondly from Tom Bergeron's Hollywood Squares, and also in his guest role in Two and a Half Men as Russell the pharmacist.
RIP Martin!

It's more like, "sardonically", a little of each, I suppose.

Martin Mull was born and grew up in the (then) tiny village of North Ridgeville, Ohio, just due west of Cleveland. In 1987, he performed a standup comedy special for HBO that was filmed in his hometown's high school.
(Fun note, I live in Avon, Ohio, just directly north of North Ridgeville.)

Where he was dead. If that show were still on, I wonder how they would have handled it?

i remember him most from Roseanne as Leon

America Tonight was my favorite on the "UBS" Network, featuring Mull as Barth Gimble, Fred Willard as Jerry Hubbard. Tom Waits & Jim Varney were repeat guests

Jamie Farr turns 90 and David Alan Grier turns 68 this week.

Which reminds me "The Cool Kids" have lost another cast member in addition to Leslie Jordan. Wonder how that show would have handled both deaths if it were still on?

Speaking of Jamie Farr I found this today on You Tube:
