Marty Q/Table For 2

Real nice CD, guys, if you have not yet had a chance to check it out. I was pleasantly surprised by the title cut the promoters sent out in advance as a single, and the rest of the CD does not disappoint. I am typically not a huge fan of cover tunes, but there are a couple decent ones on this CD that are worthy of spins. If I can best describe the guy's sound/vibe, I'd say he's a cross between James Vargas and Jimmy Sommers. Overall, a very nice listen with depth, diversity, and vibe, and yet another example of some the great new music that is being made these days. I do so LOVE my non-paying job ;D.

Personally I passed on this one. Was not a fan of the production at all.

Can't say I was blown away by it, but let's just say it exceeded my expectations enough for me to give it some spins ;).

It should be noted that Marty's CD is produced by Glen "Big Dog" Davis, who has produced recent CD's by Najee, Phil Perry, and Maysa...

Oops, I must have had my mind on the NBA yesterday...Marty's CD is NOT produced by Boston Celtics forward Glen "Big Baby" Davis, but rather CHRIS "Big Dog" Davis. Sorry for the confusion! ;)

My mind is on another 20" of snow. "The .wav" has officially turned into the Overlook Hotel, and "All work and no play makes AC Tones a dull boy." :D

It sounded like generic smooth jazz to me and there were way too many covers and shadow vocals. Too much of that lite "smooth jazz shuffle" sound too. Passing on this one...
