Marty Thompson - Clear Channel's "Premium Choice"

The Oldies 1160 midday jock is leaving TKO Radio and returning to Clear Channel to become PD of their VP for "Premium Choice Oldies". The Cincinnati radio vet previously worked for CC as their "oldies brand manager."

Question: Did Marty leave CC the first time on his own volition? I would guess that he did, considering he is returning to them for a second go-round.
 
He's been the afternoon voice for Premium Choice Classic Hits; I've been out of the area but was hearing him on 106.5 in Greenville/Dayton.
 
He's also now on WCHI/1350 (translator on W224BR/92.7) in Chillicothe and on WCHO/1250 in Washington Court House. Both stations carry the Premium Choice format on a 24/7 basis (prior to this, they piped in Citadel/ABC Radio's oldies-classic hits channel 24/7).
