Mary Ellen Burns on 'RKO - well, whaddaya think?

Mary Ellen Burns is filling in this week for the 9-12 slot - well, how do you think she's doing? Is she better than Feinburg? Scotto? Ted and Ellen? Presumably they're going to make a decision about the schedule soon... what do the experts think?

I think she's not bad - nothing particularly novel about the approach, topics or style. Unfortunately, her voice isn't that pleasant to listen to, so I find it hard to keep listening.

It's also FASCINATING that it is suddenly okay to bash the handling of the war (which she is doing) by conservatives when six months ago people who did so were called unpatriotic and even traitors. I wonder if she was out of the closet, criticizing the administration on WRKO on Saturdays, before it was fashionable ...
 
You think she's "not bad" but you have to shut her off because of her voice. Nice review.

The contrast between her and Marjorie was big. Marjorie had things moving and energetic and fun and then they stop dead when Mary Ellen comes on.
 
think it's time for david to bring a real programmer into the place..
 
I think she sounds ok, but the few times I've heard her, she's talking about her kids prom or parking spots at the mall [ insert yawn icon ]

Whiney voice reminds me of Claprood, but not as compelling or entertaining especially when Claprood was paired with Whitley. Get someone down to earth who isnt trying so hard and has a voice that doesnt grate! i.e. Burns, Bailey. Burns does have a figure for TV though!

It turns out that her name is spelled Mariellen, not Mary Ellen
