PJ, Thanks for the post. I worked with MEG while she was in SF. She was a great friend and an excellent Broadcaster. I spent 18 months taking care of my mom during that time, and she always lent moral support when things got NUTZ.
Good for her. Good for her Parents and Family.

Perhaps those who post here should take a moment and read the article and see
what's really importatant.
I think they will find it Kinda puts that whole "Doghouse" and "KFRC" Drama (just to name a few) in perspective doesn't it?
Family First...Radio way down the list.

Amen on that, and I'm someone who's been through the family pull myself, when my mother passed away a few years ago.

I've been fortunate enough to work alongside MEG once or twice, and have run into her a few times, and this article isn't a surprise to me. I've always admired her, and do even more, now...she is truly a great lady.

Amen to both you and ProdBoy... I've never met MEG but am a news junkie (despite my formatic history) and always bounced back and forth between KGO and KCBS in the morning --I know she often hit the street for a breaking story and for a while, co-anchored the KGO morning news block --clearly a pro. I was sorry to see her leave but found the article richly rewarding in many different ways. At some point, the inevitable will happen, at which time, I'm sure she'll return to the airwaves with renewed vigor and additional perspective that death brings to all still living.

Article highly recommended.

She was in the hot tub at the Mariposa motel...outside Yosemite and a 4x murderer (the handyman of the motel) lurked about her....I bet she came close to being the 5 victim...
