Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman

Does anyone currently own the rights to the 70s sitcom "Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman"? It ran on Oxygen for a couple of months but they cancelled it right when the show's story arc was hitting its stride. Then Nick At Nite picked up MH2 for a while but dumped it at about the same point.

When the show first debuted in 1976, our local CBS affiliate briefly ran MH2 in the 4:30 PM afternoon slot. It only lasted a week or two. I am told there was much consternation in the management offices upstairs. They felt Norman Lear had ripped them off.

I think that show is a gem in the crown of TV and it should be seen. It is much more "seventies" than The Brady Bunch or That 70s Show could ever hope to be. Has it been released on DVD? Inquiring minds want to know. Besides, I had a mad lust crush on Debralee Scott back then. Something about the eyes... so tragic she passed away recently.

Actually Sony owns the rights to "Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman" when they acquired Norman Lear's Embassy/Tamdem library in the 80s. The show isn't offered on DVD yet, but that could happen down the line in the future.
