That newscast, somewhat lighter and free flowing, was her best fit. Bouncing past a series of other great, longer tenured candidates at KOMO, she became Kathi G's regular fill in through her health struggles, and without much fanfare, became the main weeknight female anchor. I didn't think she was as compelling on the harder, more traditional evening newscasts she worked as the primary anchor.
We'll see where KOMO looks for a replacement.

After more than two decades on Seattle television, KOMO news anchor Mary Nam has announced her departure at the end of the month.
