Meanwhile, driven and easy-on-the-eyes (again the paper's words, not mine) KENS reporter MaryAnn Martinez (bottom right) waves goodbye to her station of more than two years this week to jump to the country's No. 2 market: Los Angeles.

Starting Tuesday, she'll report the news on Fox affiliate KTTV.

"My big thing is policing the police and holding the powerful accountable," said KENS' lead nightside reporter.

She's thrilled to be going to a much larger television market. "It's definitely going to be an adventure," she said. Still, it's tough leaving San Antonio, she added.

She will end up being another ornament for Steve Edwards Fox 11 Morning Show. Her shelf life is 2 years and the clock has already started ticking!
