MASON DIXON and MARVIN have conflicts?

Nothing. That was only a geriatric parody of the Bubba v. MJ fight. I origionally said that Marvin and Mason were fighting to catch Dick Ring.

I don't know who you are, or care. All I know is, you really made me LOL ("laugh out loud" in the parlance of these young interneter whippersnappers), and that's all that counts in this day and age.
Thanks, MsMusicRadio.

1) I'm a baby boomer
2) I never worked in radio
3) I'm from Pittsburgh
4) I have been a DJ groupie from back in the day of KQV and KDKA (and WEEP and WMCK and Porky)
5) I was ejected from hanging around KQV by none other than John Rook.

The rest is mystery

Your sense of humor and these five points make you a huge winner in my book!
But don't be disappointed or take undue pride in #5. You had a couple of things working against you.

John Rook was cold and autocratic according to one of the jocks who has passed on the great TOP 40 station that is live and local forever. He seemed that way when I was shown the door.

ABC ran a tight ship back then. It included coats, ties, and short hair except for overnights.

Gee. Another planet heard from. :p I can always count on you coming out of the dark vaults of Clear Channel to burst my balloon. By the way, did you read "Twilight"? There is the version about vampires ( which I liked) or the one about the future of Clear Channel.

Dear Ms... No, didn't read the book, I'm far too learned now. Saw the Twilight movie at the Dade City Drive-In and dripped weenie mustard on my new shirt. It didn't come out in the wash but when you have billions of dollars in assets things usually do. Oh, the flick bored me, as does this thread. Keep up the good work.

Ms. Music - I also grew up in Pittsburgh listening to KQV and KDKA. I loved the stuff that Jack Bogut (sp?) used to do from the dept. store windows around the holidays (oh those Slithery D songs!) (oh, when radio actually had originality!) (and Farkleberries!).

Naughty - I have no idea who you are, but don't get too cocky about allegedly having millions - especially in this fickle town and this fickle market!

I'm not making up the stuff on this Board's news page about CC bleeding out. If I were a DJ, I'd love to work for CC on MIX and take it back to it's glory dayz in 2001 :-\

Jack Bogut is spelled right. Thanks for the support. Remember "Walk and Don't Walk"?

OK------lets just say one in memory of Carl Marrucci who used to be Jack Armstrong on WEEP 1080 in Pittsburgh. There are a lot of people from Pittsburgh living here. Go to Pittsburgh Pete's in Largo.

This is the TAMPA BAY radio board, we are tired of hearing about pitts...berg
Thanks,
Dennis
formally of another state, and living in the Tampa Bay area for 25 years

I'm always getting flat. Tampa and hilly Pittsburgh confused. Im so senile I can't tell WDUV from WJAS
