Mason Lee Dixon, KXOK early 70s

I listened to Mason many nights in the early 70s on 63 KXOK St. Louis. I was DXing from Tulsa OK, 400 miles away. He'd say he was sponsored by "the makers of soup spoons, and Arf - the dog food dogs ask for by name". Funny stuff to a 12 year old kid. I soon moved on to free-form FM and lost track of him. What became of him?
