He's right. KFYI not only missed the boat, they were no where near the harbor. Where's Mike Anthony?

Another sad sad indicator how radio is not serving the public interest as mandated…

…OTOH, the "if it bleeds, it leads" beating into the ground of a story that is simply inconsequential to most all except immediate friends, family and neighbors in comparison to weighty issues that are instrumental in determining quality of life for citizens. A tragedy, but there's really not more to be said other than psycho-babble and strawman battering… …political issues are more relevant, at least issues debated and discussed intelligently, with knowledgeable voices permitted to state their case to the listening audience and conduct Q&A…

As it is, the state of talk radio, be it the corporate variety, or the "less static", corporate "lite" K-TAR-PIT variety, is still an abomination. Talk radio is talk for 14 year olds… …so tragic, the fall of the medium to jackals, interested only in bludgeoning it for a few pieces of silver, in a sordid race to an abyss…

Agree with you here! I think this reporting was a bit excessive!

While KFYI may have missed the boat; KTAR, I believe, went too far, and at least to me, it becomes more of a self interest for them (KTAR) and their ratings and news dept. status; and less of what is best for the family and community.

I actually think KTAR did a good job covering the story. This was a big story for the east valley and they covered it perfectly.
