MATT aLLEN/DAN YORKE

I do remember who Yorke's predecessors were on PRO. They were (after Carolyns departure) Dave Kane. Everyone thought he would get it, but he didn't. He said they were looking for someone who would take the program in a different direction. Then there was a young man from out of state who was on for a couple of days. He talked about his flying in the day before and that he had been in the marines.
Todd Fineberg subbed for a day or two as did Moe Luzier.
I do think Dan did take the show in a different direction and one of the best things they did was to put Matty with him. Matty, when he was with Jennifer on Sats, was just a young man starting out. You can tell now that he's learning a lot. I enjoy him when he does Dan't show....but I enjoy Dan too.

Kane was fired just 2 years ago from WSAR for saying the 'C' word and 'F' word on air.
As I remember it, Bruce Lang and Frank Fulton were two of the tryers out.
Fulton was MUCH better than York.
As for Matt Allen, I believe he was Yorks producer, after Yorks first year. I believe York is nothing but a BAD infulence on Allen.
Thankfully, Allen is nothing like him.

Back to Fulton, he was VERY much like Steve Kass. Kass was a'Teacher' of his. Fulton was local and he had a great radio persona.
Too bad York was picked. Boring as all hell. Fake as all hell. Weird as all hell.

Yorke is very quirky on the air. He's a loose cannon who can go off at any second. That would make for good radio if he came off as sincere. Unfortunately most of the time he sounds fake doing it. Calm one second and then literally flying off the handle the next. There is no inbetween with him. The guy goes from zero to 90 miles per hour in two seconds flat. It's not genuine.

Speaking of Dave Kane, I find him so annoying. I listen to senior digest driving home early Sunday mornings, nothing else on. How does Paul put up with him. He is not funny, thinks he is witty, he is a bore. Says things that are juvenile, off topic. I think Paul should solo.

dave kane has a show on WNRI from 10 to 12 daily. He has mellowed. He's been around for a long, long time. It's a daily joke as to when he'll be fired.
