I really wonder about these posts.
I can completely understand the appeal of Matt. Here it is in a nutshell. Most Rhode island hosts focus on one thing. POLITICS! It gets old fast. However Matt doesn't do this. He offers something different that interests various types of people. This is the same appeal that Howard Stern has. You may hate some things he talks about, but just wait 5 minutes and he will be talking about something that you enjoy hearing. It's all about Variety my friend. Dan talks about different things... but each thing still has to do with Politics! It's no surprise to me that people feel Matt is a refreshing host. I have to 100 percent agree. Every time I've tuned in I find him interesting and often funny. HE'S REAL. I like that. I think he's got a bright future in this business.

Matt Allen is also a refreshing change from Dan Yorke because he
doesn't endlessly play patty cake and suck up to the Democrats in RI.
Yorke wants so badly to be one of the boys in the State house he gives
the Democrats a free ride on just about every issue. He'll yell and
scream and rant and rave about the governor or the mayor of Cranston
all day long but getting him to go after the corrupt legislature is
nearly impossible. Matt Allen is a refreshing change who will hopefully
get more and more play at WPRO.

That policy goes back a few years when there was some nasty stuff and venting posted during the Z100 days. It's kinda unenforceable as long as you don't do it from work and don't leave any tracks.
