I honestly wish these guys the best. I thought they did a pretty admirable job taking their music show and turning it into a talk show. It wasnt always smooth or pretty when I listened, but it was real...just 2 guys hanging out and having fun. I think they got the shaft more than anyone with this format change. Any thoughts?

Huggy has been keeping fans abreast through the Matt & Huggy Myspace page... Summarized with select quotes as I am complying with R-I's "cut & paste" policy:

Over the weekend, through a Myspace bulletin, he promised "NEW, BRAND NEW Matt and Huggy shows very soon via podcasting" and also teased that they "will have a new home" as well. Also thanked the fans for their support...

Most recent bulletin was posted Monday night so of course it starts off with, "Watching the Eagles right now...ugh...not good people...not good at all. I should've started drinking earlier!" Huggy admitted he was "stunned" by the outpouring of support since the pair's dismissal and asked fans to "be patient" as he vowed that he was "trying hard" to personally respond to all the e-mails he and Matt have received. "We'd go in and do our job every day unaware that people actually cared," Huggy added. He closed by directing listeners to http://www.mattandhuggyshow.com and "promise[d]" the show will return, perhaps elaborating on that "new home" boast in the previous bulletin: "I hope it's Philly, but if not...there's always the internet!"

I didn't check yesterday to see if there's any recent bulletins, but anyone who wants to receive their bulletins can just go to their website and add them as a friend.

They really did do a great job. They are two guys that you can't help but like. I changed my lunch hour to 1pm and ate in my car just to listen to them (sad, I know). Someone really should pick them up. If wysp was smart they'd put them back on at night and let them play music and do some of their bits in between. I think they were with wysp for 11 years. From the activity on the internet, it looks like wysp has alienated a decent number of fans by letting M&H go...

It truly made no sense to let Matt and Huggy go. They had established themselves at WYSP as DJs and only talked for about a year (and were awesome to listen to), yet they get the boot for a jukebox.
