Clear Channel Radio/Phoenix Vice-President and Market Manager Joe Puglise announced today that Matt McAllister will join Ben Campbell as co-host of the new 102.5 KNIX-FM morning show.
Puglise said, "It was critically important we pair Ben with someone as talented and bright as Matt. Matt brings a different but complimentary skill set to the job, and the moment he hopped back on a plane after his interview we all looked at each other and said: 'That's the one.' We're thrilled to bring him and his family out to Phoenix."
Matt hosted “The Early Show” at the legendary KTYD/Santa Barbara, CA for the past nine years, where he has garnered top ratings in every measurable adult, men and women metric.
McAllister stated, “Since the holidays are fresh in everyone’s mind, I’ll use a timely seasonal analogy to express my excitement about this wonderful opportunity. KNIX is already a great turkey. It tastes like someone brined it perfectly, then cooked it breast down to keep the juices in. I see Ben and I functioning much like a good baste…we’re going to add some flavor and make an already great tasting bird even better. Next year we may even try to deep-fry it.”
