Former WRXP morning co-host Matt Pinfield will be hosting "Flashback," a syndicated classic rock show, produced by Cumulus Media. It will air on about 220 radio stations - but not Q104.3. Q airs a different "Flashback" show on Sunday mornings.

I'm glad Matt landed on his feet, as it would really hurt his bald head if it were the other way around.

Jeff in Sa-ra-so-ta!

Eh, he was on his feet earlier than this, just not in radio. He's been running 120 Minutes, now resurrected on MTV2; a monthly tryout has gone weekly. (Friday 6-8am is probably as good as Sundays at midnight, DVR-wise, these days...)

You could have two different shows with the same name playing the same kind of music? I guess there's no copyright rules for this one.

It's the same "Flashback" show that Bill St. James has been hosting - Bill is stepping down as host after 20+ years.

The only special music programming run on Q104.3 WAXQ New York on Sunday mornings is "Breakfast With The Beatles" hosted by Ken Dashow from 8-10am.

Jonathan Clarke's "Out Of The Box" show airs from 9-10pm while
Little Steven (Van Zandt)'s "Underground Garage" follows from 10pm-Midnight on Sunday evenings on the "Q".

As far as I know, there is not a "different" (second) program with the "Flashback" name.
