Matt Pinfield Joining The SoCal Sound

I haven't seen an official announcement yet, but considering his name is in the text of the image link...

Great sleuthing. I checked and found it in the home page source code too:

Matt is a good hire. He was also previously at KFOG in SFO. He, Mookie, and Julie bring a well-honed commercial radio-oriented love for the rock genre to the station (Andy did too). It bodes well for having a talented pool helping to continue steer 88.5 forward toward on-going viability and endurance in this market. If they could get added as an HD-2 on 91.5 or HD-3 on 89.9 that would be great for filling the gaps in their signal's market coverage.

Also, the silhouette on the banner matches this image from fellow non-comm XPN's website. https://xpn.org/2022/11/30/matt-pinfield-xpn-morning-show/

Definitely a hire that fits the "music lovers" vibe the station has cultivated over the years. I could be wrong, but I believe this might be his first public radio stint? I imagine the station will have a membership drive in the spring, so I'll be interested to hear him in an on-air pitching context.

Matt Pinfield should be a good catch for The Socal Sound because this station reminds me of the old RXP from New York City where Matt did mornings.
