Matt Stewart WINK 104 on CBS Evening News

Matt Stewart formerly of WINK 104 was on the CBS Evening News last night on a segment about long-term unemployment. As the reporter was describing Matt's layoff a few years ago, they showed pictures of him holding a WINK104 microphone. He is now living with his sister, as his house had been foreclosed. While Matt's situation (in Raleigh NC) is tragic, I thought Matt left WINK on his own several years ago? Am I correct?
