Matty has a major announcement on Monday

Retirement is my first thought.

I am sure a part of him looks at how Charles Laquidara just cashed in and went off to Maui and Matty is now 62. His daughters are all grown up and 31 years of waking up early when you are a night owl by nature takes a toll.

If Kiss went country Matty must actually listen to the station. He does not enjoy what he plays and does indeed like country.
 
Didn't he just sign a new five year deal a few months ago? I'm wondering if it's a new promotion having to do with the iHeartRadio Music Festival.
 
Who knows,they could do that then run comedy otherwise. Or whatever. If they did go "talk" again (prog,
conserv., whatever) you could see his show maybe as morning drive somehow

How about his show being simulcast on AM 1200?

You are being funny correct? Why would you waste a signal like that. Who would want to listen to Kiss on AM except maybe somebody driving around in a vintage car or truck with just an AM radio.

Kiss and some other FM signals have been on AM 1430 a few times by accident. The evening cleaning people at 99 RB Pkwy didn't realize that when they changed the dial on that big machine in the engineering room that were actually sending a different signal out over the 1430 frequency. IFRC this happened twice before the ACE realized it was happening. They did not enough to switched back to 1430 when they finished cleaning.

Kiss 108 was simulcast on 1430 when they first switched WWEL to to XKS with a Disco format. Boy did that send shock waves through Medford and the surrounding cities.

Hadn't heard that happened at Kiss, but I did hear in the days of "Nifty" WNFT 1150 they were simulcasting WAAF. Cleaning crew didn't much like the music, switched the radio to Jam'n or something, not aware they were switching what was being broadcast

Right. Like CC is going to blow up the format on a station that is consistently #1, just got a 10 share in PPM this past month, and bills out the ying-yang.

What hallucinations do you have before you post these things?
