Maurice DuBois Leaving CBS Evening News

How long was this switch in the works. I doubt this happened overnight. I’d bet Dokoupil was given the job a lot earlier than reported.
Some of the reporting suggested CBS was caught off guard by Dubois’ announcement he was leaving as CBS was planning to announce his departure when they announced Dokoupil’s promotion.

Well, CBS has always been the "redheaded stepchild" of morning television... have they ever defeated GMA and Today?

Maybe they should just simulcast the CBS morning news program on Paramount + anchored by Errol Barnett.
I was thinking of something similar for the CBS Evening News. The Prime Time show on 24/7 is a well-done newscast and feels current. That would make CBS the only network evening newscast that’s live in all time zones.
