Maurice Wilkey right now (Sunday night) on Oldies 103

Apparently, the man's "demise" (his immediate one anyway) was severely exaggerated although he does not appear on Oldies's website as On The Air.

He is on right now (11pm until whenever) following Barry Scott and The Lost 45's. Isn't this slot usually filled by Pete Falconi, the man who made the Karen Blake/JJ Wright move??

And he just played "Celebration" by Kool and the Gang.

And he just poked fun at himself, saying something along the lines of "Technically, you can still consider me a third-shifter" and that he will always be around.

Sounds like he may have lost his regular overnight shift but isnt leaving the station at all.

Not sure, but I think that's only a two-hour shift to fill an odd timed space between "Lost 45's" ending Sunday nights at 11 PM, and the beginning of their regular weeknight overnight shift starting at Mondays at 1 AM (which I'm guessing will be J.J.).

It was sometimes filled by Pete himself, sometimes other fill-in jocks.

Good to hear that at least Maurice was left with something, though.

Correct. He has moved into production and will retain a weekend shift or two.
