Maverick sells WFRL/WFPS, new owners will flip WFPS format

So what do you think will be the new FM format? Oldies?, Mainstream Country?
CHR? The other two FM's are AC and Classic Hits, so what other possibilities are there?

I wish they would also do something with WFRL.

I thought Q102 was more Hot AC than Classic Hits.

My first thought was CHR, but can they really go after ZOK with a 4kW stick west of Freeport? Back in its days as a top 40/hot AC station under an owner prior to RadioWorks, I recall not always being able to pick it up easily in Polo 25 miles south.

Yes, that would be nice. The last time I tuned in when I was in the area, it was mostly satellite. Are they even running any local sports?
 
They do a little bit of sports, but not alot.

The AM has 1 hour of local talk from 9 to 10 AM, and the host, Jeff Allen said he was done after the 31st. He also does 6-9 on the FM, so I don't know if he's just done on the AM, whether the talk show will continue, or if he is leaving both stations.
 
I think they are more of a VH wannabe, yet they seem to play all the weird stuff I like... I don't think they would do CHR, but I could see them do oldies with a very big playlist to go along with Q and EKZ... CC

I love Q... I just wish they had a better signal.
