Yeah... it's the guy that owns Newsweb ...they do a format called NineFM in Chicagoland. It's bizarre... you'll hear album cuts from CSNY, Beatles classics, the Doors and such...but you'll also hear Big and Rich and 3 Doors Down. I think they recently fired the PD Sky Daniels and morning guy AW Pantoja. I also don't think that is the origin of the Jack format. It started in Canada.
The best Jack station I've heard so far is in Dallas. It's the imaging that makes it sound so good there. Waaaay too edgy for Bonneville. Jack in Dallas plays with imaging like "Jack on, Jack off, Jack on, Jack off... it's fun but very adult. I love the voice guy there. Don't know who it is, but he's perfect.
