Maxine Todd stepping down...

Maxine Todd - the founding PD of KHJZ in Houston - is stepping down. Didn't she used to be PD at the Oasis before taking the Houston gig? I wonder if this really was her choice and I wonder if smooth jazz is on its way out of H Town??? ???

Yes she was. The same woman who refused to give a letter of recommendation after I worked my butt off for her. She simply said.... "Oh, I don't do that."

Did you ask her why? If I was told that, I would press for an answer. Afterall, by that time the gig is over anyway.

Yeah, I was simply told.... after working a year non-stop for her... coming in at the last possible minute to cover for the guy who did overnights... more then a few times. I worked overnights for a full week the very first week I started... which was christmas eve thru New Years Eve. I never said NO to her when she called and needed something. Never. Ofcourse, I wanted to work and would do anything to work. So, I didn't complain. However, I was always there for her to fill in, do production, run the Sunday morning brunch remote etc...

I was simply told..... "I really can't do that. Because you could be an axe murderer or something. How do I know?"

You might think I am making that up.... I am not. That was WORD FOR WORD. I didnt actually need the letter of recommendation. However, it was the principal of the matter.
