Maxwell's workin swing shift this week? 3-7pm on 92.3 on Thursday

After his morning show on NCX, and he said it will be all live, not just a replay. I wonder what this means. They casually brought it up this morning on the show as it was about to end yesterday that he was feelin good and felt like "walking down the hall and doing an afternoon show". So... standing by?

The other part of the rumor is Jeff Kinzbach will be taking over mornings on WNCX with a more music approach.

I've been told he's been in the building a lot lately.

I'd love it if Kinzbach came back to radio, and this would be brilliant hiring. But I'm skeptical since he seems done with radio and very content in his post-radio life. But I'd love to see it happen.

Pretty sure Jeff moved back to Northeast Ohio in the last couple years.

Heck, he might even do the show "live" every now and then via an ISDN line from CBS' Dallas complex...

Who knows. If CBS is accommodating enough, Jeff might make a comeback just for the heck of it.

Maxwell did indeed do the show, and honestly he sounded MUCH better then he has sounded at any point in his time at WNCX. I think its a mix of them being more awake and their whole show just being more conducive to afternoon radio. Honestly I'm surprised there wasn't more talk about this on this board or the listening party about why exactly this happened.

i can't believe the people blowin up 92.3's facebook page with negative comments. honestly i think more people posted than listened to the station in the june books!

edit - also thought the show was much more like the old show from MMS, which is great if you ask me

I think Maxwell has some fans in town, but I think he has alot more people that just dont dig him or his vibe or his show. Maxwell fans are usually shocked at the vitriol and venom that his detractors have toward him. In short, I dont think all that many people really dig his show all that much, thus the detractors. A head-to-head battle between he and Cox would be interesting.

Maxwell's "appearance" at 92.3 was a 4 hour infomercial begging listeners to listen to his failing morning show. The Maxwell talk is depressing because we are all watching a slow death that some people can't seem to accept.

I can't get out of my head that Maxwell being on 92.3 was solely so CBS could "test the signal" with mono programming, to see how the new sports station would sound on the fringes of the signal.

It would certainly not be the first FM signal going mono to give a boost to the range. (And I'm not even counting WNIR!)

Maxwell is CBS' only pure talk show, so putting him on 92.3 for an afternoon was simple.

And at any point, his WNCX show can also be placed in mono so CBS corporate can compare 98.5's performance with 92.3's.

Remember Maxwell's show is all talk, so such a test may have already been done without anyone knowing... ;)

If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?

What happens if two trees fall in the same day and no one is around to hear it?

If a man is talking in the woods and no woman hears him... is he still wrong? ;D
