Here are the numbers released a couple of days ago.

Nielsen Audio Ratings

The biggest jump I noticed was 96.1, up 1. Q was also up .7. I can only guess that it is going to be a good summer for CHR. The Hot AC: Star (really a rhythmic AC IMHO) is still sliding downhill. I guess there is a lot of money in their P1 Demos.

Rock 100.5 and Dickey’s WCNN both seem to be suffering along with Braves fans.

It's interesting that WSB is following all of the news/talks around the country, dropping 2 points since January. But an 8 share is still good enough for #1. The country format jumped around the country, but not so much in Atlanta.

Star held its cume, but they need to do something to increase TSL. It does look like their AQH has settled in the high 2's.

I am enjoying the fact that the iHeartRadio Countdown has moved to Sunday nights. It’s been awhile since we’ve had a countdown show on Sunday evenings. Q99.7’s website has been showing for the past few years that they repeat Carson Daly again on Sunday nights but that hasn’t happened.

Based on what? WKHX is just 1 station.

It's one of the most important stations in the whole company. 103.3 in Nashville is experiencing some of its worst ratings in ages. 93.1 in Detroit, which reached great numbers last spring, is also in the toilet.

Too many Cumulus country stations are underperforming.

Now I understand what you're saying. You had posted it on the Atlanta board without any context.

Interesting how it's taken a little while, but iHeart has managed to give Cumulus a headache with two of their once biggest stations in Atlanta, Q and Kicks/New County. Power may take a while like The Bull did, but could they bury Q99.7 like The Bull has Kicks/New County?

Cumulus has flipped two country stations here in SC to classic hits over the past couple of years, both of which were Nash formatted. WOMG in Columbia (flip back to classic hits) and WIWF in Charleston (flip to classic hits). The latter had been country since the mid-2000s, but got left behind and could no longer compete with the iHeart leader as well as another newcomer owned by a smaller group.

The Bull is a great example of patience and persistence. A lot of times these stations change formats and experience low numbers for several years or more while the brand is built, leading many outsiders (including many on these boards) to expect format changes, call it a failure, etc. iHeart knows the country format. They probably knew The Bull wouldn't be an instant success, but they've clearly identified WKHX's vulnerabilities over the past few years and seized every chance they've seen. Look at what's happening now. iHeart also knows CHR, which is why the whole "Breeze" at 96.1 thing is BS - they'll stick with Power even if it isn't a constant success and try to take Q down like they did Kicks. The last time I streamed Q, it sounded a lot more budget/smaller market than Power which isn't great considering they're both in the same market. WWWQ is still ahead of Power overall, but it's also more established.
