May be local shakeups in process???

I am not name dropping because I said I would not...but has anyone heard the news yet that a certain local Forever Outlet just lost their night talent this past week?

Seems to be more rumblings in the works as well. I have heard from numerous persons that a long time morning team is soon to be taken off the dial no later than Labor Day in favor of a syndicated show. Again, I won't site names and such because I told people I would not...but this brings me back to something I brought up a long time ago.

Whether they leave or get fired, or whatever...why is it that Forever seems to have so much trouble holding onto employees? Granted G101 is a much smaller operation (thankfully)...but we have team members who have been around FOR YEARS. Seems to me I run into far more people who tell me why they got out than why they stayed at the other guy's. Why is that???

Is there more to the Emipre than we see on the outside that scares people away? Any former employees wish to comment?

I heard that Grooves went to Kentucky. Sounds like a nice opportunity.

Steve,

I don't know about anyone else, but the reason that I left was that it cost a lot to live in State College but it doesn't pay that much. (And I think I got pretty generously compensated considering that it was market 250)

So, when presented an opportunity to double my salary and live in an area that cost less to live in, I did what anyone would do. (Which, by the way wound up costing me $3000 because the Apartment Store treats 38-year-old adults like they are 21-year-old frat boys and wouldn't sign off on my lease.... BTW; Which every other landlord I have ever had was OK with!)

Though it means nothing to the price of cheese, it hurt me quite a bit to watch things come unravelled. I'm glad Glen is back with a chance to straighten things out but the loss of Tom Yourchack (who was a huge 'Carol-buffer') was the death-knell.

Someone said earlier in another post that it would be the WRSC duo and that the entire station would be automated in six months. Would be pretty cheap and petty of Forever to pull off, but it wouldn't surprise me.

Joe!!

What's up? What's going on with the Mets?? I see Pedro is having a great season...just wait, as a Sox fan I can assure that he'll be on the DL soon :)

As for Grooves leaving, he is good and he got an opportunity to make more money in a biggger market...you & Pam, Blaine Love, Damian Rhodes, Shannon Holly, Tadd Zarnitz, and many more did the same...don't believe all you read!

Say hi to the family for me...take care bro!

Never said Grooves was fired...just said he left the building as have many over the years. Some for good reason and well...some left for personal reasons too. I talked to people after the Beaver/Hot Flip and I can tell you a ton of people told me they were running like their hair was on fire...but out of respect for them...I will not drop names.

In your defense Glen, I will say that people reached that opinion before you had really taken hold of the place and I have heard many MANY positive comments about YOU at the helm so perhaps those feelings have subsided.

Whazzup?

Sorry for losing your favorite screen name ("Sheaboy86") but every now and then Radio Info just stops recognizing my cookies (and I have some damn fine one...) so I re-register.

I see that Pedro is on a strict 80-90 pitch count, which in the NL is about 6-7 innings. He'll be the Mets version of Roger Clemens. The real question is; Is the National League East going to be like the Big 10 is for football? Everyone beats the snot out of each other and none get very far over .500. Everyone here is screaming for wholesale changes (Not likely if Phillies keep getting arrested. At this rate we'll need two rosters, one for home games and one for games out of state!) and the team is still in the hunt for at least the W.C.! In related news, I've become a big Wilmington Blue Rocks fan (Sox 'A' ball affiliate) since I started working weekends at WDEL. (Maybe we can get Schilling to pitch down here for a few...)

Hope all is well for you there.

Joe

Actually the Blue rocks are the Royals farm team:)
