I was a big fan of Jack 102.7 but nowadays is sounds to much like a mixture of KISS,KZEP with a little bit of Magic. It seems to me that CBS Radio is still trying to compete for the Rockers of S.A.
My impression of Jack FM....Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z I would rather chop my left arm off and pour alcohol over it than listen to more than a few minutes of Jack.

Jack was sounding good for 10 mins but then they started leaning more and more to Rock. The book comes out on Thursday so let's see how the rest of S.A. feels.

The Beat will have a flat book. However in San Antonio that means they will win in the overall. Jack is a flanker format with no one to run with in this market. They are superserving P2 listeners. They are very happy being a second or third choice station.They seem to be trying to skew towards Men.The rock lean is there mostly because those programming are leaning towards their personal preferences. Not research, which is usually flawed anyways.Yes they are part Magic, KZEP, Kono, and even a little of the Old KTFM. The UNFORMATSof radio still sound like a Format. (jukebox-programming). BORING.
