and XTB gains from the music shut off at HPT....or did they just take more from SUN ?....could be both based on these numbers. I dont think 97X is gonna be around for a whole long time from this point.......idk, just sayin. .....could be wrong, maybe wrong...just a thought

Thank God for that.. that stations music is horrid! If Cox was smart they would go after 98Rock and play all New Active Rock (say 60%,20% recurrents,20% Top hits from mid 80s-2years ago but not the same overplayed songs.

In Orlando , Wjrr's Rubberroom of new music from 11pm-12am is the most listened to hour they say. And top show is the Hard on Sat nights from 9-midnight.... been that way for years. Maybe Sun going New ROCK with the Areana Rock,Metal-Top Grunge songs wouldn't be a bad mix of things.
 
What on earth is going on at 4002 Gandy Blvd? They have got to be crappin bricks.
 
"X" isn't changing. It does what it needs to do on THAT signal. Right now I don't see a hole for anything better on 97.1. Stay the course. As far as Clear Channel goes, FLZ is not what it was without MJ. Hot has got to be pulling people from quite a few stations during morning drive. The Beat is down, Mix is in it's usual place, but look at WFLA. I'd get that station over on a full market wide FM signal soon. I just don't think the translators are gonna cut it in the long run. CBS is the one with problems. We've talked about Play. Consider it gone. How about Wild? I'm sure the broken down demos are ok but they just don't sound as great as they used too. Again, I think Hot has really divided up that pie for the younger age group.

Wow! That is impressive. I bet the sales force over there is doing back flips. Congratts to the programming staff over there too. CBS and CC had better make adjustments and quick. 1234 in the money demo will leave a scar in the other clusters' revenue.

X clearly can do a 3-3.5 if they did it correctly with that signal
 
Too bad Cox can't put country on a signal, run it without any jocks, add boring liners, and use the ______minute music hour and they probably could beat WQYK and WFUS. I think that WSJT is a good sounding station and it is too bad it is tanking. Except for WDUV which has its uses and a bigger playlist than typical Cox, I think all the Cox stations suck. Guess I'm totally out of touch with reality in Tampa Bay radio
