Wow, some quick math shows how few people are watching local TV news.
Potential millions of viewers and total numbers for 6p.m., 397,000.
In the 25-54, only 114,000 total viewers for 6 p.m.
The rest of the audience, 283,000 are 55+.
Breaking it down a little further, some of the stations total viewers are less than most towns in Massachusetts.
Less and less people are going to TV newscasts for the information they need. I'll be though, that traffic to all Boston based TV stations is up considerably every quarter.
