Maybe a pirate on 107.3 in wallingford ct area

sometimes in my area I've been hearing movie sound tracks or public radio type programming on this freq.in a radius of a block or two. I know WAAF out of Boston and WPUR in Atlantic City are licensed on this freq, hum or maybe someone souped up their Ipod transmitter in the apt complex next door.

I know twice in a few years I thought I had tracked down a "pirate" until I discovered it was one of those XM radios with the FM modulator with higher than usual power. I later went and check it out with a walkman-type FM radio and was shocked by the range it got. I soon discovered it was the XM radio when the owner started to channel-surf while I was checking it out.

I think I scared the pants off him when I knocked on his door, too!

everyone seems to choose 107.3 as their Ipod frequency now in that area on the highway. the DB from any station on 107.3 is so low so I wouldn't be surprised if it goes out pretty far..
