Maybe a snowjam winter weather centerfest o rama '08

will it happen? how cheesey will the coverage get? is looking at your own stations's web radar news?

will we thaw from this broadcast ice age before we run out of TiVo?

6:01 AM I am live from the Hall County DOT yard. There are six trucks behind me on standby. It is raining, so the trucks are waiting for the change to snow.

6:10 AM I am live from Hall County DOT yard. If you remember there were six trucks behind me, they left for Jackson. It is still raining.

and every 10 to 20 mintues she kept telling us those trucks left up until 10:15 AM.... FOUR HOURS of telling us those six DOT trucks went to Jackson or Jackson County (don't remember).

I applaud WSB-TV for being live and local ALL DAY.. it is 3:10 PM and they have been live since 6:00 AM. I just wish some of their reports had more to say for four hours than "It's still raining".

:)

Yeah, Channel 2 Action News won this one on the weather coverage. 11Alive and FOX 5 was o'kay I guess. Of course CBS 46 was no where to be found Saturday morning. The real question is....what happenned to the snow storm? ATL metro was under a heavy snow and winter storm advisory all day long. The snow stopped by 5:30pm or so and the roads were dry by 10:00pm.

Sorry- everyone way WAY too overboard with the coverage. Unnecessary. At least 5 & 11 went to some sort of regular programming.

I'm so tired of the doom and gloom and wall to wall coverage for a non-event.

I like the laid back approach of Channel 2 newscast during the snowstorm... I was please with it.

CBS46 sucks...lol

11alive- was good

Fox5- was ok...
