Maybe, if it works...

Its positining is "Now, New, Next." and seems to be playing a blend of Alternative, Modern AC and Triple A.

Please... I was listening when they switched to Oldies, and disappointed when I heard it was Sophie 2 hours later.

It is really just a copy of their Alice @ format, although I don't know why they didn't use the name Alice.
They even have simlar websites: http://www.radioalice.com and http://www.radiosophie.com

It's just another Hot AC. Might be something for CBS to think about with Mix98.5. It's a format that is picking up a lot of steam, and seems to be an attempt to steal thunder from JACK.

Ok, I didn't realize that it might be a Alice clone. The trades didn't report it as that and it does seem new. IMHO, Mix needs some help and BCN hasn't exactly been a ratings winner lately either. If successful I could see the format coming here.

Sophie is a hot Eurobabe name, Alice is the maid on the Brady Bunch.

OK, not quite the same. I am listening to Alice now and the first song that I am hearing is Why by Annie Lenox. I have streamed Sophie for a few hours and the oldest (and perhaps the only song) that was old and overplayed was Crash Into Me by the Dave Matthews Band. Sophie @ 103.7 is promising to be focusing on only new music as well as unsigned acts as well.

Ok, they just played Death Cab For Cutie, which was a very mellow song and now they are playing STP. Alice and Sophie are NOT the same formats.
