MAYBE, in 2010

7000, WHY KKFR WOULD CONSIDER STICKING AROUND TO BE THE 3RD TOP 40 STATION IN TOWN, WELL BEHIND KZON AND KZZP IS JUST FLAT STUPID! I HAVE TO BELIEVE THE NEW MANAGEMENT TEAM IS SIGNIFICANTLLY SMARTER THEN THE RIVIERA GOONS. REV THERE IS FLAT, SPOT LOADS ARE LIGHT AND THAT'S AT BARGAIN RATES, AND AGAIN I HATE TO HARP ON IT BUT THE STICK IS HORRIBLE! THEIR NATIONAL TEAM DOESN'T PERFORM AND THEY SURVIVE ON CUT RATE FOR BOTTOM FEEDING CLUB PROMOTERS WHICH I KNOW HAS TO BE EMBARRASING. YOU THINK MORE CUTS ARE COMING TO THE STATION? WHY NOT ADD TO THE LIST OF "FORMER" RBG'ers (OWNER, GENERAL MANAGER, PROGRAM DIRECTOR, HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER, PRODUCTION GUY, MARKETING DIRECTOR, MARKETING MANAGER, MORNING SHOW HOST, NIGHT HOST, MORNING DJ, VARIOUS SALES STAFF). WHERE ELSE CAN THEY CUT? AND DO YOU THINK THEY WILL DO SO OR JUST CONTINUE TO PERFORM AS A SHADOW OF ITS FORMER SELF?

At the rate CBS is bulking up on former KKFR people to run their show, how long will it be before the "Power" name lands on 101.5? Then, 98.3 can finally become the Classic Country (Crown) King competing with the Wickenburg Powerhouse! ;D
 
Hey I have listened to the Crown King FM when I was up there.. classic country was last done on 1580 if my memory is correct.. wonder how much the fuel bill is for the 98.3 generators each month since they have no AC power to run the site on. ::)
 
And lastly, I would like to mention the following:

Via podcast, I'm currently listening to Leo Laporte "The Tech Guy" (once part of the former KFYI Sunday night line up) as he reflects on the most important stories of the year and decade in tech.

I'm kind of thinking that maybe in 2010, someone should pick up at least one of the many versions of the tech show available. Hmmmm.... maybe KTAR??? I'd much rather hear computer talk and future technologies and news regarding the new gadgets to come and how to improve / fix / work with them rather than financial talk, but that's just my personal preference. Not sure if over all if it would be a completely wise decision for KTAR to make.

Just thought I'd mention it anyway though.
 
Leo has a fantastic show, I agree.

KFYI needs to stop selling 4 hours to the fraud "doctor" comes on and peddles snake oil every saturday.

If you knew how much a barrel of snake oil is going for, you'd understand why KFWhyEye can't break the habit! Nurse Jeff and I think five hours of financial talk on Sunday is a bit much, too. But those guys are probably paying top dollar for the airtime as well.

Not sure how much it would matter, but KTAR already has a show like that on Saturday afternoons...

Dude, you don't want to wish that on anyone, especially with
all the job losses in the trenches the past couple of years.
 
It's not a wish, it's reality (and "cut" goes well with the word "action").
And "cut" can have any meaning you choose to give it, now that I think of it... but it doesn't necessarily always have to be the most negative view point of the word.

Who's going to get the cut..... in other words "which station / format will be cut or flipped?"
That doesn't mean anyone really has to lose their jobs, but... let there be action!

A C T I O N !

Who knows - this ACTION could pave the way for more jobs to be created - if you want to look at the situation from an individual person's point of view instead of a frequency. No matter how you look at it, it's nice to have a little bit of action going on, especially when you go to certain sections and see people complaining about "there's nothing going on in .......... it's so boring".
