Maybe news on KDOK?

QX-FM is a fine station, Chuck. I have no qualms with it retransmitting over KEBE. Doggone it though, everyone seems to overlook the old girl at AM 14 and if it weren't for the foundation that KEBE and Dudley Waller laid down, there wouldn't even be a 100kW east Texas flamethrower known as KOOI in existence.

Full disclosure, the nostalgic aspect of KEBE clouds my common sense, knowing full well that what once was is long dead and gone. I meant no disrespect to what you're currently doing with 1400. Just giving the old girl her fair mention, since no one else thinks to include her when the Chalk Hill cluster is in the conversation. Happy New Year, Chuck! Of course, I'd vote for a return to what now is termed classic country. After all, that's what made KEBE what is was. A full resurrection of The Corral, and in full spirit of Keeping Every Body Entertained.

Texas State Network newscasts are not bad, they are carried by quite a few stations in the state, including KGAF 1580 in Gainesville.
When it comes to TOH news in general on music stations, it's more of a "small-town thing." The larger cities don't do national news on FM stations, unless it's news/talk. But in small cities, ACs, country, oldies, etc. air national news at the top of the hour.

You never know what might happen. I did get a lot of the music library with KEBE.

Classic Country is working out pretty darned well up here in Texomaland for us. Already have an FM Translator lined up for the Window that opens on the 29th!

I wouldn't be surprised one bit if Classic Country worked well on KEBE, especially with an FM side. Shoot throw a swap shop and news department in there and you'll be cooking up the airwaves!

On a side note, is there ANYTHING left of KEEE out of Nacogdoches?
