Maywood - Did Radio Start Trouble?

There is a post dated 9-12-06 on the Philadelphia board titled "My Final Warning..." about a protest rally/riot in Maywood, Ca. (it says Sept. 6 but all the articles I find said August 26). None of the articles I can find mention anything about authorities blaming a number of Hispanic radio stations (listed on that post) for inciting riots. Has anyone in the L.A. area seen any articles mentioning that? I'd like to read them if you could post a link. Except for a few "fringe" websites, I cannot find many of the details in the post mentioned. The poster is known for starting some inflamatory topics, but I was wondering what people in the L.A. area heard about this, looking for some objective and local insight. The poster on the Philadelphia board is trying to tie this to the recent format switch of a Philadelphia FM station to Spanish, our first FM Spanish station, warning I guess that Spanish radio leads to riots. Would like to hear reaction from those close to the area.

NewsMax and the LKoolAid drinkers are eating this one up.

A bunch of anti-immigrant activists told the Los Angeles Times that they wanted "to punish Maywood for its transgressions" in passing a resolution opposing the House of Representatives plan to punish illegal aliens.

I guess passing a resolution is not American enough for these out of towners.

They were met by a bunch of protestors, some of whom raised a Mexican flag at the post office.

Pretty sorry spectacle for all concerned.

Ultra right wing rabble, meet idiots ignorant of culture.

I saw that post too. I don't know where the poster got his info, he provided no links to back it up. EDIT: I see Hans posted a link but Hans has a good take on it all. One of the referenced stations KLTX is a Spanish language religious programming station. I would find it hard to believe they would be a part of any encouragement to be unlawful. My guess is that poster does have an axe to grind -I've seen his "work" ;)
