The Metro is wrong again, he does not make the bus announcements, Both the Clever Devices and Transitmaster systems use synthesized voices.

Actually, you're not entirely accurate. The announcements (at least) on the newer Red Line and Green Line cars are recorded. I'm presuming they're recorded on the newer Blue Line cars, too, but I don't ride the T that often anymore.
