McConnell out, Clark Howard in

That didn't take long... WIBC has already dropped Mike McConnell in favor of Clark Howard... I just noticed myself in the past few days... does anyone know exactly when it happened and why?

Rumour has it the syndicator (Premiere) dropped the show, not WIBC.

That makes more sense to me (although, I don't know what I expect... I think sometimes the move managers in radio make aren't supposed to make sense!)

Has anyone heard this show yet? He has a very annoying voice. I had
to turn it off. What happened to Joe? Maybe something or someone in
Indy could do a better show than this guy. Steve would be good to go
another hour or two...more?

I didn't mind him. His producer has an annoying voice when she speaks, but I didn't think he was too bad. I liked that he was more 'tangible' than some other programs in that his whole niche was consumer protection.

Clark Howard originates from WSB Atlanta, where he follows Neil Boortz on the air.
He's had big numbers down there for years. Here in Indy we have two WSB shows competing now in the 8pm hour. Boortz is on WXNT at that time (delayed of course).

McConnell is still listed on the Premiere home page as being on the satellite feed. The promos and features page, however, no longer lists McConnell's show.
